Tina B is a French sculptor who made a living teaching children basic academic learning and socialization. Her focus was to introduce them to the broad range of knowledge including art, but also teach them the skills and behavioral adjustment they needed to succeed in life. Along with teaching, she pursued fine art as a venue for self expression and is now fully devoted to sculpting. Tina has exhibited her work in France and in the U.S.
“Lately, my interest is in exploring and celebrating American Indian Culture, specifically, that of the Ancient Southwest Population. I am currently working on a series about “Kokopelli,” a fertility deity with a mischievous and flirty reputation. Acording to the legend, Kokopelli announced his arrival by playing the flute, going from village to village, tricking people, seducing women and leaving behind babies and productive crops. Nowadays, Kokopelli is still a beloved, naughty character who is associated with joy, warmth and music.”
